Serendipity Stamps challenge #2 Winter Birthday

Image
Good morning, Serendipity Stamps is having  a winter birthday challenge #2.  I recently purchased some of their stamps and I am very pleased with them.  The stamp that I used here is called Winter Farm. I really enjoy the winter scenes with lots of snow out in the countryside. Today is one of those days we are receiving a lot of snow, schools are closed, probably almost in the whole state of Wisconsin. I love these days, you get to hug and snuggle indoors.  Below I took a couple of pictures peeking out my front door this morning around 8:30 am. We should get anywhere between 9 and 14 inches of SNOW!!!  It is beautiful, crisp and clean! Enjoy your day and don't forget to check out Serendipity Blog for the challenge! Nancy

Papertrey #96 Patchwork die-cuts

Image
You've got mail!!! Papertrey's Make it Monday # 96.  Melissa made a gorgeous card on her video on patchwork die-cuts.  I decided to use the tiny envelope die for the patchwork focal point. I love how Melissa used the fancy flourishes but I don't have that stamp so I used the Turning a New Leaf stamp and added glittered hearts. There are two sizes of hearts in the Love Lives Here stamp set that I used, also using tag its #11 for the arrows and rows of hearts and for the sentiment I used Pretty Peonies. Finishing off the envelope I added a double flower of felt from Flower Fusion #3 die. Have a great day! Nancy

Two Papertrey Challenges #94 and Christmas is coming

Image
Hello everyone, I hope you holidays are going well. So far this December the weather has been warm, upper 50's yesterday, so shopping has been nice. Although I hope snow comes soon, I need to have that fluffy, sparkly, crunchy, cold snow for Christmas. Today I am entering this card in the Make-it-Monday challenge #94 Detail Glitter Technique for Papertrey Ink. Even though it is detail glitter, I might have done a little more than I should have, but than again maybe not! The Winter Hills stamp set is a joy to work with, love that house (it is paper pieced) and trees! Along with that set I couldn't resist Melissa's stamp set Love Lives Here Holiday.  That sentiment goes so nicely with that house.  Banner border die I used along the top with the Holly Jolly die.  As you can see the heart border die has the glitter. I am also entering this in A Passion for Papertrey Challenge.  The challenge is Christmas is Coming. Have a nice day! Nancy

Papertrey November Blog Hop

Image
Hello, today is the day for Papertrey's November blog hop.  Our inspiration was book covers.  I chose the ice skates from the cover of this book. I used the stamp sets and dies from Mistletoe and Holly and the On Ice.  The snowflakes along the bottom of the card is from Winter Hills.   Enjoy the hop! Nancy

Make it Monday #92

Image
Hello friends, It is time for Papertrey's, Make it Monday  #92 layered vellum die.  I made this ornament using felt and hand cutting it into a stocking shape and hand stitching around the outside.  I found some lace and aged it with a stamp pad and added a pearl. Then I used the die from PTI, Peace Be Still and the Holly Jolly, also a snowflake die from MFT, cutting them out layering them and adding glitter and a button. I didn't add as many vellum snowflakes as Melissa did in the video, now I think I should have, maybe next time. I made four mittens to exchange with friends this Christmas. Have a good night. Nancy

Winter Blues

Papertrey #89 Creating Windows for a Floating Image...

Image
Hello Friends, I could not resist doing this challenge again, I really enjoyed it!!  This challenge was for Papertrey Inc. #89 Creating Windows for a Floating Image by Nichole Heady.  On the front I used Mat Stack 3 die and Mat Stack 3 Layerz die for the window.  The snow flakes are from In the Meadow and Winter Hills, putting glitter on top of them.  The house is from Winter Hills and I cut two of them and glued them together, one I colored with copics(front) and the other designer paper(back). The inside I used Winter Hills and Peaceful Pinecones.  I paper pieced the house and snowman. I decided to place the house on the inside and outside of the card in the same place so nothing would be covered looking through it. Have a beautiful day! Nancy

Papertrey MIM #89 Creating Windows for a Floating Image....

Image
Hello,  Papertrey #89 Challenge is creating windows for a floating image. I started with the Mat Stack 3 and Mat Stack 3 Layerz as my window, also using the Bells & Boughs, Winter Hills and Background Sheet Music stamps.  On the inside I used Love Lives Here Holiday and Bells & Boughs.  I couldn't resist seeing how the red paper and lace would look through the window, I love it!  This was my first time with this technique and it was fun!  THANK YOU NICHOLE!!! Enjoy your day! Nancy

Cas-ual Fridays Challenge

Image
Hello, Cas-ual Fridays is having their challenge and I thought I would give it a try.  Create a clean and simple project using kraft.  I used Peaceful Pinecones stamp set and die also Bells & Boughs stamp set and hand cut out. I did use pop up dots under the pinecone and branch. Same card just a different angle with the camera.  Have a great day!! Nancy

Papertrey October Blog Hop Challenge

Image
Good morning, welcome to Papertrey October Blog Hop Challenge! I hope each of you found some time and participated in the challenge.  It is always exciting to start the Christmas festivities.  The colors I started with was Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores and Aqua Mist (I do not have these colors so it is as close as I could get) then I added a few extra colors like Real Red, Pretty in Pink and some designer paper.  I started with Fabulous Frames Die and used the Background Super Stripes in Tempting Turquoise and Cool Caribbean, under the bells I used the Super Stripes in Real Red and Pretty in Pink.  On top, I used Bells & Boughs with the bow in Melon Mambo, the snowflake is from Winter Hills and I also added some glitter and a button. The saying Peace & Joy is from Peaceful Pinecones stamp set with some added pearls. The fabulous frames and the bells are lifted with  foam dots.  Well that should cover it, ENJOY the blog hop!! Have a great day!

Good evening, Papertrey Inc. is having their MIM challenge #87, stamping alphabets with die cuts by Heather. The stamp sets that I used were Christmas Poinsettia and background Striped Sweater.  The poinsettia is stamped in cranberry crisp ink which is a burgundy color.  Taking a picture at night does not do the colors justice, sorry. The die set that I used was the Block Alphabet upper case. Below I used double sided tape to hold my die cuts to the clear block. Have a good night! Nancy

Image

I had time to do one more Christmas card.  The stamp sets are Made of Snow Mini, Tiny Treats Christmas, Christmas Poinsettia and In the Meadow.  The Holly Jolly Die and the star die is from MFT.  The designer paper is by Teresa Collins called Christmas Cottage. Have a good night!  Tomorrow Papertrey will be having their October release!!!!! Its the best time of the month!! Nancy

Beautiful Poinsettia...

Image
Hello again, I couldn't resist posting another card for Papertrey Inc. #86 the inside edition challenge by Ashley.  I think this poinsettia is so beautiful, I did the shading with copic markers.  The stamp set is called Christmas Poinsettia, I did have to cut this out by hand... soon I will get the die.  The center of the poinsettia I used the holly jolly die and used the berry part of the die and placed it under the button. The sentiment is also from Christmas poinsettia.  Along the bottom I used the heart border die with a twine bow. The beautiful paper is from Bo Bunny.  Also underneath the rustic white cardstock I placed foam dots to raise it up. On the inside I used the poinsettia leaves and stamped off every other one also shading with copic. I do like to add a piece of designer paper on the inside to bring in more color and something that is on the front. Today's weather has been lots of rain, it is a good day to make cards by the fire. Have a good on

Ho Ho Ho......

Image
Hello friends, Papertrey Inc. is having their Make-it-Monday challenge, #86 the inside edition by Ashley.  I started out with the tag sale #5 die, the heart die and the holly jolly die.  The sentiment is from the Christmas poinsettia stamp set.  The inside sentiment is from think big favorites #20 stamp set. The designer paper is from Teresa Collins called Christmas cottage. I hope you enjoy. Have a great day. Nancy

Peace and Love

Image
Hello everyone, It is time for Papertrey Inc. to have their Make-it-Monday challenge.  The challenge is to decorate the inside of your card as you chose to by adding sayings, random stamping or any embellishments.  This challenge was hosted by Ashley and it is #86 The Inside Edition. First on the front of my card I used the saying from Love Lives Here Holiday, the Holly Jolly die with some pearls, a frame from my pile that was inked and the designer paper is by Teresa Collins - Christmas Cottage. This background paper reminds me of vintage wallpaper. On the inside of my card I used Think Big Favorites #20, Bells and Boughs, a strip of designer paper and a dash of glitter in the middle of the poinsettia's. I left enough room for the recipients name and ours. Wishing everyone a sweet day! Nancy

BOO!

Image
Good morning, just wanted to quick post this Halloween card.  I used Mr. Bones stamp set and die, alphabet die both from Papertrey and then a cuttlebug spider web folder and nestabilities circle die. Oh I almost forgot polka dots stamp set from PTI too.  Have a great day! Nancy

Papertrey September Blog Hop

Image
Hello friends, Today is Papertrey Ink. blog hop!!  I used the Lovely Layers and the Christmas Poinsettia stamp sets.  The heart and tag sale #5 dies. When using the Lovely Layers stamp I stamped it down once then turned the stamp a quarter of the way and stamped again.  When you look at the pictures you will see one of the tags stamped once then look at the tag stamped twice with the same colored ink then the next one is stamped in two different inks. I hope that is understandable. Well enjoy hopping around!  Nancy
