March 2012 Blog Hop by Papertrey

Image
Good morning, Papertrey is having their March blog hop and here is our inspiration. I did start out making a tag and found out I did not have anything to put inside my glassine bag, so I switched it to a card. The stamp sets and dies that I used were background polka dots, Fillable frames #10, Flower fusion #1 and Tag sale #2.  I followed Melissa's ideas when making the tag, paint, stamp and sand edges, add embellishments and GLITTER!  I do want to say I stamped little polka dots on the tag with cool caribbean ink before I added the polka dot paper or any embellishments and its a bummer when you can't see it on the pictures, sorry.  I decided to add a close up of the tag.    Enjoy the blog hop!! Wednesday stamp club challenge

Image
Good morning, I was excited to play along with  My Favorite Things, Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge.  On my card I used the I Love Us, Flapper Doodle stamp set by My Favorite Things.  I used Graphic 45 paper and paper pieced their clothes.  Remember it is not to late to play along. Take care, Nancy

Make it Monday #57 , colored kissing

Good morning,  I found sometime to do the challenge for Papertrey's   Make it Monday #57.  The technique is called Colored Kissing.  I used certainly celery ink with turning a new leaf stamp set.  I also used background basics text style and old olive ink.  Stamped that on top of turning a new leaf and applied it to rustic white cardstock.  I wanted to add an extra punch to the leaves so they received some rhinestones.  I used the banner borders die and the heart die from Papertrey, also the stamp set think big favorites #12.  The flower is a die from My Favorite things topped off with a rhinestone brad.  Designer paper is from Hobby Lobby.  Below is a close up of the colored kissing technique. Have a great day! Nancy

Little chick

Good morning, here is another Easter card.  The baby chick and shell are from the stamp set Scrambled Eggs by Papertrey Inc.   I also used mat stack #3 die, I don't have the layerz die for that so I hand cut that one. Polka dot paper I bought at Hobby Lobby. The scalloped edge is the heart die turned upside down.   I used sticklers on the shell part of the egg and also made a bow with twine. Have a great day! Good morning, I have been working on a few Easter cards.  I will show you one today.  Papertrey came out with a stamp set called scrambled eggs this past month.  I used fun fur for the ears, felt for the bow and glitter on the bunnies face (egg).  The other stamps that I used were garden variety and bells and boughs. Here is a close up of the bunny.  He is so cute!! Have a great day! Nancy
