Make-it-Monday #111 Watercoloring Embossed Images

Hello everyone, I always want to play along with Papertrey Ink, Make-it-Monday challenge but don't always find the time.  I guess today is my lucky day.  The challenge was watercoloring embossed images with Heather #111.  I have started to rethink on how much I want to put onto my card or how much I want to pay for postage. Last month release helped me change things a bit, that was a great release for me.  I have started to make simpler cards.  I have always loved all the buttons, bows, pearls, lace everything on the cards but now that I have changed, things got a lot easier.  The cards don't take as long to make, I don't have to worry about how bulky the card is for postage.  It does feel a little plain but it is growing on me.

I started out with the stamp set by Maile called Birthday Style.  I embossed the bubbles with white embossing powder and used Hibiscus Burst and Harvest Gold ink for a watercolor effect. I die cut the banner and again by Maile used the Bountiful Banners stamp set.

Have a really great day and I wish for warmer weather for everyone!

Nancy

  5. I hear you, Nancy. Postage has gotten so expensive that I, too, have veered away from ribbon and buttons.
